I moved from South Africa to the UK in 1998 and completed a gap year coaching rowing at Shrewsbury school before graduating from Durham University, reading Natural Sciences in 2001.
After entering the city in 2001, I later joined one of the World's leading recruitment firms in September 2004 and was promoted to manager the following year. I led 5 other staff in a specialist compliance recruitment team.
Throughout my six years with the firm I was one of the Global top billers and managed one of the most profitable teams in London.
I left to co-found the Black Swan Group in May 2010 as the Director in charge of the Governance platform (Compliance, Risk and Audit) in London and developing the larger multinational banking clients we work with today. In April 2014 I relocated to Singapore to open our first overseas office and establish our presence in Asia Pacific, this was followed in January 2016 and January 2017 with managing the opening and now overseeing of the Sydney and Hong Kong offices respectively. We now work across the region, having worked mandates in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Japan mainly focusing within Governance in Financial Services.
I have been lucky enough to have lived on 3 continents and worked globally, outside of work past times include travel, skiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, cars, wild life photography and (always trying to improve) golf.
